Grateful

I am loving the combination of my two favorite mediums, origami and watercolor! This card was easy to make and it’s so much fun! Here’s how:
First, I painted a watercolor wash onto a Strathmore Watercolor greeting card with three different Japanese watercolor cakes. I love the way they blend but you can use any watercolor you have on hand. Paint several at once if you are making a series. While the watercolor is drying, fold a crane, a pinwheel, a heart or any model that will lay flat.

Once the watercolor wash is completely dry you can add bold lettering at the bottom of the card. I used a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and Ranger Letter-it Sentiment stamps to create the lettering. You can use a bold black ink or create a raised embossed sentiment with gold embossing powder. I like the way these turned out don’t you?

Check out my video on Youtube for a tutorial on how to make this card.
